Kevin Aaron Ade was born October 8, 1987 and grew up in the Township of Galloway near the New Jersey Shore.
As a young boy it was apparent that Kevin was put here on earth to make others happy. His infectious smile, positive spirit, empathy for others and incredible sense of humor had people drawn to him in an instant.
Kevin was a 2006 graduate of Absegami High School where he was active in the media program and the Emanon Players. This involvement caused his interest in technology and the arts to multiply.
Kevin was employed by Circuit City while attending Atlantic Cape Community College where he was actively pursuing an education in Cinematography and Communications. Kevin had aspirations of starting at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in the fall as well as finishing his education at William Paterson University.
Kevin’s passion for guitar added to his love of entertaining. He was lead guitarist for a band called “Cut It Out” and most recently associated with the band called “Last Nerve.” His love of music and his accountability left Kevin defined as a “straightedge”.
Kevin was a hero to many. Just ask anyone who was blessed enough to have known him. His relaxed, caring, casual way was how he touched so many in his nineteen years. He possessed a natural talent for consoling and giving advice. He could listen to a peer’s problem, point out a positive and send them home with a smile. Kevin was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved. Many years ago Kevin was given the nickname “Bedtime” by his friends. He earned this name along with a lot of teasing because of his responsible behavior. You could always count on Kevin to do the right thing. It wasn’t bedtime yet, Kev.
The HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers® would like to thank the family and friends of Kevin Ade for their continued support in helping us to eliminate drunken driving tragedies. Our thoughts will continue to go out to them and others who are affected by drunken drivers.
