HERO Campaign at Atlantic Cape Community College
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Student Government of Atlantic Cape Community College will host an Alcohol Awareness & HERO Game Day event in partnership with The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers on Tuesday, October 20th, 2015.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing campus. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the risks associated with drinking and driving. Atlantic Cape, being a commuter school, has thousands of young adult drivers, many of whom may be uninformed about the dangers of drinking and driving and the importance of always having a designated driver.
Student Government will be encouraging students to join the “100,000 HEROES Challenge” by signing a banner and pledging to be a designated driver. The event will have activities for students to participate in, including battle ball and a drinking & driving quiz. All donations will go to the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers.
