The event was one of several being held by The HERO Campaign and New Jersey bars and taverns, in association with the New Jersey Licensed Beverage Association. Patrons at Charlie’s who signed the HERO designated driver pledge – to make themselves available for friends and relatives if and when needed as a designated driver – received HERO Campaign membership cards. Designated Drivers who present the membership cards are entitled to free soft drinks at participating bars and taverns.

There were also random-drawing giveaways at the HERO Night at Charlie’s.

The next scheduled HERO Night is Monday, Dec. 21, at Ducktown Tavern in Atlantic City, beginning at 8PM.
